The eight edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is just around the corner with fans eagerly waiting for the T20 tournament.
It must be noted that the opening ceremony of PSL 8 will be held in Multan on February 13 prior to the tournament opener between 2021 winners Multan Sultans and defending champions Lahore Qalandars; closing ceremony and final on March 19 in Lahore, which will also host play-offs.
Lahore Qalandars will attempt to become the first side to win back-to-back titles; meanwhile Islamabad United will aim to become the most successful side by lifting the trophy thrice.
Karachi Kings, Lahore Qalandars, Multan Sultans and Islamabad United will play five home matches each — one against each side.
Rawalpindi will stage 11 fixtures, Karachi and Lahore will host nine matches each, whereas Multan will have five home games.

Highest strike-rate
Australia’s Tim David has the highest strike-rate, minimum 10 innings, in PSL history with 182.47.
Most sixes
Wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal has hit the most number, 89, of sixes in PSL after seven full seasons.
Highest total
Islamabad United notched up the highest total in PSL history after scoring 247-2 in Abu Dhabi against Peshawar Zalmi in 2021. Australia's Usman Khawaja scored a ton to set up the massive total.
Best economy rate
Rashid Khan has the best economy in PSL after conceding only 5.88 runs per over in 17 matches.
